Nanaimo Men's Resource Centre

We assist men who are experiencing separation and divorce. We provide referrals to other appropriate resources and agencies. We provide workshops for men on a variety of topics. We provide facilitated counselling services for men. We research and maintain a database of community services for men. We provide emergency shelter assistance for men and their children experiencing domestic abuse. We provide domestic violence awareness and emotional workshops. We provide support for men dealing with the family maintenance enforcement program. We provide support for men in a specialized domestic violence court program. We provide free work clothing to men to assist with new or potential employment. We provide supervised access to parents needing such assistance supported by mediation and counselling. We run a dads group in a correction facility. We provide financial assistance to individuals who are imminent risk of homelessness. New horizons for seniors is a federally supported program that helps seniors by providing counselling and peers support food security and tech support for those wanting to use devices to connect with friends durring covid and beyond. There are no new programs at this time existing programs are still active.
