Nanaimo-Ladysmith Schools Foundation

Scholarships and bursaries are awarded to graduating students at the following high schools: Dover Bay John Barsby Wellington NDSS Woodlands and Ladysmith Secondary. Student Support Fund: A direct-to-student fund that allows teachers/staff members from SD #68 to anonymously provide vulnerable children with a variety of supplies such as but not limited to: shoes coats school supplies band and athletic fees. The Foundation provides breakfast lunch and snack programs across SD #68. Donors have helped provide salad bars dishes dishwashers and other appliances needed to esnure that kids are getting a nutritious start to their day. Stock the Lockers: provides basic school supplies and backpacks to area schools/ YES2Know partnered with local RCMP to motivate local students to make healthy and positive lifestyle choices to help them become strong young citizens. District Initiative Grant: awards money to schools for programs/projects that are student focused promote student leadership community development and social responsibility. Enhanced Learning Grants: Established to enhance the learning environment for SD#68 teachers and students for supplies or special learning projects.
