Nanaimo & district hospital foundation (ndhf) administers a coffee kiosk serving the staff and patients at nanaimo regional general hospital (nrgh) as well as a personal response service (lifeline) for the elderly and/or disabled in the nanaimo/oceanside areas. Ndhf provides grants to nrgh serving central vancouver island for the purchase of the medical equipment educational scholarships and major renovations. Ndhf also provides grants to 3 extended care facilities in the regions namely eagle park lodge (qualicum beach) trillium lodge(parksville) and dufferin place (nanaimo).
