Actions day program is a comprehensive community-based day program. Services are offered on a part-time or full-time basis and persons served are supported in group or independent settings. Services are focused on personal growth and community inclusion. Home sharing is a program where we match persons served with the right caregiver in order to promote independence in a family setting. The role of a home share provider is to offer safe care and support and to provide an accepting and inclusive environment. Nacl employment services is an internal employment initiative dedicated to facilitating real paid employment for the people we serve. The snoezelen room is a multi-sensory space where participants (both internal and the public) experience self-directed exploration relaxation or stimulation. Residential servicers are comprised of several residences in the nanaimo community providing a wide range of services to a diverse group of individuals. Each nacl resident has a person centered plan which ensures they are involved in their community on a regular basis. Family and friends are encouraged to be part of the residents’ lives. Respite services are provided on an as-needed basis enabling caregivers to have persons served stay in an appropriate comfortable setting in the community
