2023/2024 nafro 2023/24 was highlighted by two dance events: semba – a new dance and music work that examined how love is a vital element of human lives though it can be painful. It was held in nov 2023. Wika – a performance program that presents dance companies of the african diaspora and other culturally diverse dance groups in winnipeg mb. It was held in march 2024. Nafro dance’s contribution to this shared programme was a 30 minute dance piece titled 'wakati'. Dance classes – nafro held open dance classes for dance professionals in the period sept 18/23 to oct 24/23 and jan 22/23 to feb 23/24.
