Mountain View Food Bank Society

'the mountain view food bank society is an organization of caring people who assist citizens of the mountain view county requiring emergency food needs' the mountain view food bank society receives donations of food and money from individuals businesses churches schools service clubs and other groups; and uses the donations to provide food to county of mountain view applicants in need of assistance. The mountain view food bank operates solely with the use of volunteers. There are over 50 regular volunteers including a working board of directors that provide over 15 000 volunteer hours. There are no paid personnel. Less than 5 percent of the donations received are used for administration and fund raising. As a result over 95 percent of the donations received are available to assist individuals in need.
