Mothers Matter Canada

Mothers matter centre is an early childhood education program that recognizes the power of the parent as a child’s first and best teacher. Launched in israel over 40 years ago this unique and integrated program supports families and children at risk through home visits. The program works with low income and socially excluded families teaching parents to help their children to succeed. It also provides an opportunity for parents to build confidence and literacy skills which leads to increased parental involvement in the community. Men like me project: a program in partnership with white ribbon which aims to empower refugee and immigrant men and boys by promoting positive masculinities and fostering allies in the effort to prevent and combat gender-based violence (gbv) in their communities. From 2024 to 2026 the program will support two cohorts of refugee and immigrant fathers to engage actively with their families and communities. Each cohort will run over 30 weeks.
