Mortal Coil continued in its work with Tsatsu Stalqayu (the Coastal Wolfpack) a local Coast Salish performance group in amplifying local Indigenous stories and culture. Performances were held throughout the Lower Mainland to the public at large. -Development continued on a new Theatre for Young Audience co-production of Cry Heart but Never Break a show for very young children about learning to accept death. Design development was this year's focus and workshop activities. -The company presented Ghost Train at the Stanley Park Miniature Train. -The company mentored high school students as part of Ghost Train. -The company presented a portion of Bright Nights at Stanley Park with its roving ground characters. -Mortal Coil continued to mentor and train/work with Tsatsu Stalqayu in administration matters and European theatrical techniques. -Mortal Coil researched and continued development on a new theatrical piece with Tsatsu Stalqayu. This is currently projected to be a puppet presentation of a local Salish myth that will tour throughout the region.
