To promote and protect human rights and fundamental freedoms without distinction as to race gender culture language or religion; and to promote the balanced fair and non-discriminatory application of the purposes and principles of the united nations charter through the following activities: a) monitoring the deliberations decisions and activities of the united nations orgas agencies committes and other bodies of the united nations system with regard to the promotion and protection of human rights; b) monitoring and combating discrimination on ethnic racial national gender religious cultural or linguistic grounds; c) monitoring and combating manifestations of racism xenophobia and anti-semitism; d) conducting research performing studies conducting surveys and compiling data on the promotion of human rights and fundamental freedoms with special emphasis on the rights and freedoms set forth in the united nations charter and the universal declaration of human rights publishing or making available the results thereofin briefings articles reports statements and letters in major newspapers magazines journal on television radio and though the internet and alternative media; e) appearing and delivering testimony before the united nations and other international national and religious bodies;
