Mitocanada Foundation

We are canada’s only not-for-profit organization focused on mitochondrial disease. Our mission is to transform the outlook for persons facing a diagnosis of mitochondrial disease and/or dysfunction. We do this by 1) raising awareness 2) providing information/ education to persons affected by mitochondrial disorders their families healthcare professionals educators and the public; and 3) funding peer-reviewed research grants and a scholarship prize. Our strength is identifying and collaborating with other like-minded organizations to expand system-wide knowledge and investments so that together we can accelerate getting to a cure. We envision a future where canadian of all ages who are directly and indirectly impacted by this disease feel inspired empowered and supported to live their best lives
