Mission Seniors Centre Association

The mission seniors centre association (msca) manages the boswyk seniors activity centre. Msca is a 100% volunteer charity led by a volunteer management board. Sixty to seventy active volunteers contribute over 10 000 hours annually and seniors visit the centre over 25 000 times yearly. Memberships are $20 per year. Grants from the new horizons seniors program and mission community foundation support our no-drop-in fees policy ensuring everyone feels welcome. We offer no-cost activities except cost recovery to pay for contracted fitness instructors. The main programs are: boswyk cafe members socialize while enjoying low-priced meals. Active activities include fitness classes dancing floor curling shuffleboard carpet bowling and billiards. Seated activities include bingo cards crib crafts mahjong music wellness and workshops. Social activities include dances dinners library presentations tournaments and volunteering.
