Middleville and District Museum

Provide a facility for the public to view the native and pioneer history of the township through written documentation and historical artifacts dating back to the early 1800s and earlier. Maintain a growing collection of genealogical information for public access. Creating an on-line web presence for the public to access virtually the programs information and reference files. A high priority is the development of educational materials that can be used by educators and students alike to further help in their local history studies. This includes virtual classrooms. Expanded programming: added additional events (i.e. native/medicinal plants and recognition of local veterans); hosted two workshops (preserving photos and basketry); and invited weaver to display use of 19th century loom for visitors. Weaver was onsite for four days.
