Merrickville Public Library

Operating a public library. Services include lending books dvds e-collections/e-resources etc; providing public computer/internet access; providing programs for adults and children; providing reference service and access to local history and genealogy collections; providing meeting space & virtual meeting space via Zoom and doing outreach to the community including partnering with local groups to provide services - such as the Story Trail with our local Trails Society a Seed Library with a local environmental group story visits to the daycare schools and play group working with the Historical Society to provide access to local history etc. In 2024 the Library worked with community partners to expand programming including offering a course for seniors on smartphones and offering 'eco-literacy' programs for youth.
