Medicine Hat Symphonic Society

The purpose of the charity is to preserve music as an art form and to enhance the quality of life in our community. Programs include: the academy programs which provide gifted youth in medicine hat the opportunity to participate in a comprehensive and professionally oriented program medicine hat youth orchestra medicine hat community orchestra instrument bank scholarships and bursaries tuition assistance program. Medicine hat community orchestra was re-started under the symphonic society in the fall of 2023 after being under the umbrella of the medicine hat college for a number of years. Strings academy program is now under the control of the society after the medicine hat college failed to staff their teaching positions.
