Mathematics Foundation of Canada / Fondation Avenir Mathematiques Canada

The charity was organized to fund the participation of Canadian teenagers showing high promise in mathematics in appropriate mathematics summer camps. At the time in the late 1990's such camps existed only in the USA. For a number of years starting in 1997 this charity provided Canadian students with financial help to attend the Canada/USA MathCamp (www.mathcamp.org) for high school students. This was also done to send students to the MathPath camp (www.mathpath.org) for middle school students. The charity did active fundraising and used the funds for these students. These camps now provide financial help for Canadians as well. So the charity is presently inactive but may need to become active in future years. So we are in a holding mode.
