Marwayne Agricultural Society

There are over 100 volunteers active in the marwayne ag society. Some people volunteer as little as 5 hours per year while others are over 100 hours. The objective of the society are to: -encourage improvement in agricultural horticulture homemaking and the quality of life in a safe viable and thriving community. -sponsor meetings and short courses on agricultural and homemaking subjects -sponsor an exhibition at which prizes will be awarded in agricultural horticultural and /or homemaking classes etc. -assist in the development of leadership in our community through sponsoring and encouraging clubs such as 4-h clubs -represent community needs and interests and provide support to community programs to provide quality social recreational educational agricultural and cultural activities. -support cooperate and collaborate with other community groups involved in programs for the betterment of the community. -sell manage lease mortgage dispose of or otherwise deal with property of the society within the limits of the agricultural societies act. The facilities we operate through either title or lease are the curling rink the arena and the community hall.
