STATEMENT OF PURPOSE and Activities carried out in support of the same as outlined in APPLICATION TO REGISTER A CHARITY UNDER THE INCOME TAX TACT (February 2012) 'To operate exclusively as a charitable organization for the purpose of promoting interfaith and multifaith dialogue and understanding to educate the public about the world religions and to promote collaboration amongst people of faith in order to foster the well being of the community as a whole.' - from Articles of Incorporation for Manitoba Multifaith Council Companies Office the Province of Manitoba 03-Aug-11 1. TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT WORLD RELIGIONS AND TO PROMOTE COLLABORATION AMONGST PEOPLE OF FAITH IN ORDER TO FOSTER THE WELL BEING OF THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE 1.1 Public educational gatherings. 1.2 Visits to places of worship learning from that particular community's representatives and leaders and experiencing some aspect of worship. 1.3 Supply and distribution of resources. 2. TO PROMOTE INTERFAITH AND MULTIFAITH DIALOGUE AND UNDERSTANDING 2.1 Meetings with elected representatives and government officials that are entirely non-partisan and connected and subordinate to the charity's purposes. 2.2 Consultative support to other individuals groups institutions organizations. 2.3 Participation with North American Interfaith Network (NAIN) 2.4 Multifaith Leadership Breakfast 2.5 Engagement with Faith Communities and Affiliate Partners (e.g. Canadian Interfaith Conversation Interfaith Health Care Association of Manitoba Winnipeg Free Press Faith Page). 2.6 Official distributor for the Multifaith Calendar (published by Multifaith Action Society of BC): sales (fundraising) along with complementary distributions to selected community partners.
