Magenta Publishing for the Arts

The flash forward incubator program gives young artists and educators an ability to work together to create dynamic learning experiences and resources that optimize student learning and set them on a path to success as they develop their art projects. All participants nationally follow the same program and shared program experience. This program to support youth in becoming active and involved participants and leaders in the arts in their communities and to support youth in developing real-world skills that can support them in their future careers. As the magenta foundation moves into its future we wanted to ensure we invest in canada's future practitioners equipping them with the skills to succeed to secure the future of the arts. While many of our youth may continue as artistss many will become industry professionals. This need to prepare future practitioners as cultural leaders led us to discussing the future with toronto metropolitan university's faculty of communication and design (fcad). The magenta foundation and tmu fcad partnered to form a unique partnership that will carve out direct transferable skills to youth 19-32 and empower the creative leaders of tomorrow. With our program the arquives a comprehensive research exhibition and catalogue focusing on toronto pride from 1970 to the present is underway. In collaboration with silvershack the magenta foundation is proud to present a landmark project celebrating '...' extraordinary nearly fifty-year career in printmaking. A master of his craft carnie's dedication to darkroom techniques and traditional printing stands as a powerful testament to their enduring artistic and historic significance. The legacy project highlights the remarkable scope of his work which has profoundly shaped canada's photographic landscape.
