Lunenburg County Historical Society

Operation of a community museum on nova scotia provincial land in two connected buildings - one owened by province and the second by the society. Site includes a national historic monument; volunteer board operates the museum open june july august. Seasonal employees hired through provincial and federal grants. The museum hosts community events festivals and fundraising events to support operations. Tours are given to visitors groups and school classes. Approximate 5000 visitors per season
