About Looking at the Stars Foundation
The vision: looking at the stars is a philanthropy based in toronto whose main purpose is to deliver classical music recitals performed by world-class artists as gifts to institutions and organizations whose members may not have an opportunity to experience live classical music in a traditional setting or those without access to traditional venues. The audience: we provide musical gifts to hospital patients long-term care facility residents shelter users inmates of correctional facilities and other audiences without the means or the ability to attend classical music recitals in traditional venues. The music: our project invites world-class musicians to present an eclectic repertoire of classical favourites and less well-known compositions in solo and small ensemble recital. These inimate presentations include personal interaction between performers and audience members to elevate the recital experience from passive consumption to interactive engagement.
