The Foundation promotes research monitoring education and projects that support the goals of conservation and sustainable use in the Long Point World Biosphere Reserve. Our programs include but are not limited to: Cleaning up Norfolk - removing plastics from the Lake Erie Coastal regions of Norfolk County Long Point causeway Improvement Project - saving reptiles by maintaining fences and culverts along the Long Point causeway NatureHood - Developing young citizen scientists Share Geospasial Conservation Database - helping local conservationists collaborate research Annual Research and Conservation Conference and Digital Library - supporting knowledge transfer amoung scientists educators students and the general public Amazing Places and Sustainable Tourism Ambassador Award - promotion of sustainable tourism within the Biosphere region Ontario's only Priority Place - the Long Point Biosphere region encompasses Ontario's only designated Priority Place and Environment and Climate Change Canada program that emphasizes local partnerships to achieve long-lasting protection and recovery of plant and animal species at risk Amazing Places videos Creation of new Podcasts Supporting landowners to qualify their lands as Other Effective Area Based Conservation Measures
