Little River Enhancement Society

Operation of a fish hatchery for coho and chum salmon including measuring weighing and clipping of fry. Enumeration of smolts departing the watershed in the spring. Eenumeration of adult fish returning to the watershed in the fall and capturing brood stock from returning wild fish. Conducting a public education program including providing eggs to school classrooms to raise and release salmon smolts pariicipation in community events and operation of a website and a facebook site. Refinement of our outgoing and incoming counting fences restoration of spawning beds in the little river. Clearing of debris jams in the little river to enhance salmon habitat.
