Domestic Animal Rescue and Adoption - works to reduce the stray and homeless domestic - services offered to the Golden community as well as the small surrounding hamlets within approximately 100km - animals come into our care through stray/feral rescues surrenders and even transfers from nearby shelters - all animals are spayed/neutered and rehomed - volunteers visit the shelter twice a day to clean and socialize with the animals (managed by two full time staff) Wildlife Rehabilitation - in operation since August 2017 with a General Wildlife permit as well as a Migratory Bird permit - we are able to rescue and rehabilitate anything from small mammals birds and amphibians to geese raptors deer and elk - we work closely with other certified rehabilitators veterinary professionals permitting officers and Conservation Officers to provide the best care that we can - we rescue injured and orphaned animals from all throughout the Kootenays and Columbia Valley and are the only certified facility in these areas
