Lionsview Seniors' Planning Society North and West Vancouver B.C.

Lsps's ongoing programs include seniors planning initiatives. Seniors coalition seniors action table north shore news column and the seniors working group. The seniors planning initiatives include working with the community on joint projects such taps age friendly and connect and prepare. The coalition is a 50-participant group of individuals and organizations who meet regularly to collectively address seniors' issues and concerns. The sat (volunteer members) identify issues create and carry out action plans. The column is produced biweekly and is read by 30 000 seniors many who are homebound and isolated. Volunteers put in over 8000 hours in support of lsps. In the past year after noticing a gap in services around technology use for seniors we put in place the tech connect project which connects seniors and volunteers to better use their devices. We also led and are partnering with 6 organizations around a project based on social meals and transportation. Last year we also received the special designation from the united way of bc to be the community collaborator on the north shore. We have also begun a project to deal with scams and fraud of seniors. Lastly we have joined as partners in 3 sfu research projects.
