Lincoln Garden Club and Horticultural Society

2024 total volunteer hours = 1720. Membership meetings with speakers on topics re native & non-native plants trees horticulture community gardens deisgn etc. Garden tours & field trips with q&a sessions. Co-maintain provide plants and plant same in our 13 public gardens. Support local library with subscriptions/book donations also donating plants & platning them in its garden beds. Yearly dontations to niagara college horticulture program; also towards plant materials planted by niagara parks school of horticulture students in the niagara parks botanical gardens. Annual bursary to a west niagara secondary school student graduating from its horticulture studies. In 2025 we will re-partner with the town for a garden recognition program senior events and beautification projects; facilitate public events about plants gardening and garden care; provide judges for the garden recognition program; continue to co-maintain and replace dead trees at the club initiated millennium forest plus re-gravel the pathway; work on other projects that may be presented to us and approved by both our board and our membership.
