About Learning Disabilities Association of New Brunswick Inc./Troubles D'Apprentissage-Association Du Noveau-Brunswick Inc.
During 2022-2023 LDANB-TAANB continued the Barton Tutoring Program and with the French Tutoring Program providing intensive literacy intervention in person and online for students from NB with learning disabilities. LDANB continues to provide advocacy and support for students and their families and adults with learning disabilities. Community outreach through local events and training sessions and an online presence through various online support groups are vital to providing resources and information. This includes supporting the new chapter in Woodstock. Volunteer board members dedicate countless hours to supporting the association through committee work. In 2022 LDANB worked with Renaissance College and a group of students to investigate the level of service and support available for adults with learning disabilities. This work included a literature review and a provincial scan of other programs available for adults with learning disabilities. In 2023 LDANB worked with a group of volunteers to revitalize the Saint John Chapter. Chapter growth and development is key to expanding reach into all regions of New Brunswick.
