Lakeview United Church

We conduct weekly worship services in person and online & provide sunday school for children ages 3 to 12. We provide pastoral care to those who are sick grieving lonely or facing a life crisis. We are an agent of the regina food bank and we carry out a number of outreach projects to help the disadvantaged in regina. We support the mission and service fund of the united church of canada lumsden beach camp south sk hospital chaplaincy and regina anti-poverty ministry. We continue to provide a home for one of the longest running scouting programs in the province and for a variety of community organizations. We also house the achives for living skies regional council of the united church of canada. We host a trans-parent group. We continue to host yqr queer connections inc. Youth group as a safe space for queer young people. As an affirming community we participate in the annual pride parade in regina. We have close to 100 volunteers who provide of the order of 2000 hours of volunteer time annually. With a grant from the new horizons for seniors program we ran three programs 'planning ahead for seniors' for over 100 seniors providing advice on end of life care estate planning wills funerals etc. For the first time in regina we hosted a pride prom for about 120 graduating grade 12 young people from the queer community as part of our commitment as an affirming ministry. We continue to work on developing our community hub social and professional services out of our building.
