Lakeland Agricultural Research Association

The Association conducts agricultural research and extension in north eastern Alberta resulting in innovative sustainable and profitable farming practices for producers in the area. Every year LARA conducts crop forage and livestock research in small plots and on field scale. As well LARA puts on workshops and tours to provide educational opportunities to farmers. LARA works in the MD of Bonnyville County of St. Paul Smoky Lake County and Lac La Biche County with research sites in all four areas. Information about LARA's trials is available through a newsletter 'Grow With Us' which is distributed to over 2600 farm mailboxes. They also produce an annual report which is distributed to the members every year.
