Provide programs and services to help in the development socialization and support of children and families: youth programs born healthy dad's mg youth at risk special services to children; coordinate and provide services and information to enhance the quality of life in ladysmith and the surrounding community; operate a food bank; promote healthy living through coordination of cooperative fresh food purchase and distribution program; provide programs for the advancement of literacy in adults and youth; provide support and assistance to victims of violence and natural disasters; provide senior services and advocacy; complete income tax under volunteer tax program; provide volunteer opportunities; provide affordable access to computers and internet; provide vehicle and volunteer drivers for medical treatment transportation; coordinate collection and distribution of clothing for those in need; provide meeting space for community based groups 12 step program restorative justice; provide volunteer counselling services; provide prenatal nutrition education social support and counselling in promotion of healthy lifestyles and early childhood development. Provide shelter for the homeless throughout the year provide emergency help for those in need for housing issues-rent hydro etc for short term assistance. Involved in building in conjunction with bc housing a low income housing project. Building is operational and tenanted starting may 2023.
