About Kitchener-Conestoga Rotary Club Community Aid Fund
1. To eradicate extreme hunger in the local community by providing food and other basic supplies to persons in need and of low income; 2. To improve and advance education in the local community by providing scholarships and financial assistance to students in need and by providing funds to educational institutions; 3. To provide financial support and to coordinate the provision of health care services for people with diseases and illness in the local community; 4. To relieve lineliness of the aged and to improve their mobility and fitness including but not limited to financial assistance for housekeeping memberships for exercise classes meal preparation nursing and shipping assistance; 5. To provide relief to persons with disabilities by providing financial assistance for programs for individual development and social recreational and educational integration into the community; and 6. To provide funds to charitable organizations that are qualified donees as defined in the income tax act. 7. 50/50 lottery - a joint venture with 4 other local rotary clubs.
