Rising Leaders for Climate Action Rising Leaders will educate the youth on sustainability and environmentalism focusing on understanding policy and its intersection with social and racial justice. Through knowledge-building and ideation participants will develop and implement their solutions via a case competition judged by climate advocates policymakers and entrepreneurs. Neuroscience of Empathy Workshops These workshops explore empathy’s neural foundations and real-world applications teaching participants how to bridge divides foster inclusivity and lead with compassion. Through hands-on activities and insights from neuroscience youth will gain a deep understanding of empathy’s role in shaping human connections and driving positive change tackling issues like social inequality and environmental degradation with a compassionate holistic approach. Eco-Anxiety Workshops These workshops help young people manage eco-anxiety—feelings of worry fear and grief about the planet—by fostering resilience mindfulness and proactive coping strategies. Through guided discussions mindfulness exercises and peer support participants gain tools to process their emotions and turn anxiety into meaningful action. The workshops create a safe space to explore feelings connect with others and find ways to advocate for environmental change empowering youth to approach ecological issues with strength hope and purpose.
