Kelowna Ballet Society

The kelowna ballet society known as 'ballet kelowna' is an award-winning creation-based professional dance company delivering compelling and inspiring performances locally nationally and internationally. The society's mandate is to encourage promote and develop canadian dancers and choreographers and offer opportunities for these artists to display their skills on a local national and international level. Ongoing programs include: 1. Performance series at the kelowna community theatre producing 3 productions per season (fall winter and spring). 2. Touring program where ballet kelowna toured 80 communities in canada. 3. In motion is an introductory to advanced level of ballet and contemporary adult dance program. 4. Okanagan summer dance intensive is a 2 week training program for dance students 12 years and up. 5. Pop-up series providing free classes and performances in the community. There were no new programs in this fiscal year.
