The Kalgidhar Darbar Sahib Society's purpose are as follows: a) to practice and perpetuate the Sikh religion as contained in the scriptures of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. b) to observe maintain and promote the Sikh religion and its traditions in accordance with 'The Sikh Rehat Maryada' (the Sikh way of life as established by Sri Akal Takhat Sahib Amritsar Punjab India). c) to establish and operate institutions to train educate and appoint the Sikh preachers missionaries ragis and ministers. d) to manage the affairs of Kalgidhar Darbar Sahib Society. The society promotes the Sikh religion by: 1) establishing and operating gurdwaras (The Sikh Temple and Gurmat Camps for youth and children). 2) Operating and establishing broadcasting channels radio networks television networks newspapers journals periodicals and other publications libraries museums seminars internet web pages disseminating and distributing books publications and audio tapes video tapes and other literature.
