Jazz.FM91: • Operates a 24/7 all jazz FM radio broadcasting station on a non-profit basis that provides radio programming designed to enrich the general public’s understanding and appreciation of jazz music and the arts. • Develops produces and distributes programs and materials that expose listeners to live music and provide listeners with exposure and access to artists through both on-air live performance broadcasts and live events • Creates national and international exposure for Canadian jazz artists through radio programming feature performances and interviews. • Provides innovative educational and practical training and performance opportunities that directly engage youth in the art form including under-served communities: 1. Youth Big Band (professionally directed band for secondary level students); 3. Jazzology (Media public speaking interview training for emerging artists at the post secondary level); 4. Discover Women in Jazz (Funding and performance support for emerging and early career female and non binary musicians). 5. Financial support for post-secondary music students through scholarships. 6. Holiday Heroes used instrument drive collects and delivers donated instruments to schools from priority neighbourhoods
