Operation of james bay united church within its buildings and the community. Church based programs worship marriages funerals and memorials. Christian education bible study prayer services inter-cultural activities fellowship and social activities for members of the congregation and the community. Accommodations of aa programs and other addictions programs. Outreach committee supporting homeless/community people in need of assistance. Pastoral care to the congregation unable to attend church and members in care homes. Community neighbourhood engagement: creating connections with the local community by offering shared activities to increase relational networks and grow the community connections. Improve public safety and health increase inclusion boost the local economy.social justice ministry: work with others in the local community and the city of victoria to understand homelessness and help raise funds to support individuals and families in need of food clothing and shelter. Support the city with emergency warming shelters when the need arises. Music concerts and jazz offered to the james bay neighbourhood. Two choirs offered to community members. A chlidrens choir and an adult choir. Involvement with local reconcilliation events and education. Movie and dinner nights and art programs to bring community together. Healing workshops seniors community support. Indigenous reconcillation.
