Island Montessori House Society

Imhs is an inclusive child care center for children of all abilities 30 months to school age. For over 50 years imhs has been operating as a local charity founded on the principles and values of maria montessori. As a pillar of inclusion imhs stands apart from other organizations by ensuring that all children are wlecome with administrators seeking out families who have been turned away from other centers; and enrollment practices that encourage application from indigenous families and children with disabilities. We value diversity and our classroom themes and school community reflect the world around us. Our organization has spent half a century championning every child's right to celebrate their love of learning with their peers no matter what support is needed. Teaching over 500 children on vancouver island over the last 10 years we continue to grow spreading our vision of accessible respectful caring and creative early years education.
