Mission to expand the cultural space for/and audience appreciation of a diversity of canadian dance expressions. The company presents an evolving practice of dance which exists within a present-day aesthetic driven by the vision and curiosity of its artistic director. We are guided by the conviction that dance can transform invigorate and soothe the human psyche that it has an essential role and function in society. We promote dance as a vital art form in society by operating a company that creates commissions and produces work by engaging dancers who have trained in a diversity of dance idioms; and actively participating in the evolution aesthetics. Through the creation and production of works by the artistic director national and international emerging and established artists; the company's work expands the boundaries of what is conventionally perceived as canadian dance. By presenting powerful humanistic dance works in collaboration with choreographers dancers composers and visual disigners the company seeks to reach as wide an audience as possible inviting the general public to embrace dance for the visceral experince it can offer.
