In 2024 we investigated several different options to donate money including several new programs within Zambia including: - Setting up a legacy scholarship at the University of Calgary with the intent of supporting University of Calgary students who are interested in projects supporting vision care and research on vision care in underdeveloped countries such as Zambia where the IVO has been active. - In 2019 IVO traveled to Zimba and donated fruit trees to schools and orphanages. We are looking to provide the schools with materials equipment and funds to restore and maintain the orchards. - Established contact with an American Charity (IVV) with whom we've collaborated with in the past about how to donate supplies materials and/or equipment for the hospital in Zimba (or elsewhere that may need) for future missions to Africa. We plan to solidify and materialize these plans in 2025 and 2026.
