Children in crisis fund: supports children whose lives have been disrupted through war civil disorder or natural disaster through bibliotherapy and the creation or replacement of collections of selected situation-appropriate books. Elizabeth mrazik-cleaver canadian picture book award: conferred to a canadian illustrator whose illustrations for a picture book published within the prior year (in its original language of publication) is deemed outstanding. Frances e. Russell grant: supports research for a book or an academic paper on canadian children's literature. Joanne fitzgerald illustrator in residence program: provides emerging published illustrators the opportunity to participate in a residency hosted by a public library running book illustration-focused workshops and programming for children teens and adults.
