Interior Association of Family Councils

Our website social media (facebook page and facebook group) are used to bring awareness of the importance of having Family Councils (family voice) in long-term care to families of Residents in long-term care and the general public and other stakeholders. We produce a semi-annual Newsletter (circulated via email). Using Zoom our volunteers host regular virtual roundtable meetings/forums to support and mentor new emerging and existing Family Councils. This is our second year operation as a registered charity. We have not expanded our programs. The Association chose to make a donation to a qualifying donee. The donation was made to UBC-Community & Patient Partnership for Education (PCPE). PCPE works to bring patient and community voices into the education of students in health and health-related disciplines to promote a partnership model of healthcare.
