IAFC continued to fulfill its charitable objectives by providing workshops to the public and other charities on community involvement leadership and community development. This was achieved by gathering community leaders to help them develop the skills through workshops that teach the fundamentals of community organizing. Training on organizational development and listening campaigns were held to provide leaders with the core skills needed to strengthen the organization of their own institution and to gather people identify community issues discover leaders and prepare people for focused activity. Over 300 volunteers in the affiliate organizations donated their time to organize teach and follow up on the training offered by IAFC and to carry out community-based research. IAFC affiliates have been expanding programs in the areas of poverty climate justice mental health accessible transit and most particularly reconciliation.
