Indspire is committed to improving the outcomes of indigenous education in canada through our innovative programs to students from k-12 through post-secondary education. Through its building brighter futures program since 1996 indspire has disbursed over $248 million through more than 75 000 scholarships and bursaries to indigenous students. The nationally televised annual indspire awards recognize outstanding indigenous achievers as inspirational role models for indigenous youth and celebrate the rich contributions that first nation inuit and metis people make to canada. The soaring:indigenous youth empowerment gatherings focus on introducing youth to potential education and career opportunities. Rivers to sucess: mentorship program helps post-secondary and highschool transition into the workforce and university or college. Teach for tomorrow: mentorship program helps post secondary nad highschool students transition into the workforce and university or college. Tech for tomorrow: an indigenous education apprenticeship program. The annual national gathering for indigenous education brings hundreds of educators together to learn and share best practices and for the presentation of guiding the journey awards.
