Indonesian Muslim Community of Edmonton (imce)

In alignment with our charitable purpose of serving the religious and community needs we maintain an ongoing fundraising program to acquire a property for an islamic centre/mosque. Plan is to purchase a property early in 2025. Furthering our goal of community engagement we successfully hosted eid al.-fitr and eid al-adha festival events in 2024 providing important religious and cultural celebrations for our community. We also provide a comprehensive program during the ramadan fasting month and offer regular lectures twice a month as well as held a couple of special lecture events by invited guest lecuters enriching the spiritual and intellectual lives of our community members. In our efforts ot provide poverty relief we raised funds to support those affected by the alberta jasper forest fire. Additionally we collaborated financially with the isalamic family foundation to support their food bank activities directly addressing food insecurity within our community.
