The Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre delivers a range of community-based programs and comprehensive services in the areas of health and wellness children and youth justice employment and training and homelessness support services. Services include life long care supports for seniors healthy lifestyle and nutrition supports diabetes prevention FAS/FASD prevention and education child development food security transportation crisis intervention youth outreach counselling parenting support and services for gender and sexually diverse people Indigenous language revitalization basic literacy and life skills development aftercare services for persons living with or affected by addictions mental health issues youth outreach restorative justice and diversion programs community re-integration victim support bail verification and supervision court services Gladue report writing drug treatment court services and access to traditional teachings ceremonies and land-based activities TBIFC provides information referral community outreach building of community partnerships and is strongly active in building capacity community development human rights advocacy and public legal education.
