Inasmuch Community Society

Inasmuch provides transitional housing and supports for refugee claimants and assistance to refugees and immigrants as they settle in Canada. We help refugee claimants obtain various services provided by the government and other service providers. We provide ESL language instruction settlement services food and clothing supports transportation to immigration appointments community supports. We also provide mental health support and training workshops such as how to prepare taxes and budgeting. We opened a third transition home for refugee claimants in Abbotsford in May 2025 which continued through end of year. We started a community supper once/month September through December 2025 for refugee claimants and other refugees and newcomers. This was a free hot meal and there was free food to take home and activities for children and adults.
