Impulse Theatre Society

The purposes of Impulse Theatre Society are: 1. To advance the public’s appreciation of the performing arts by creating producing hosting and touring performances and festivals featuring qualified contemporary theatre and modern dance artists and by providing accessible and/or free admission to reduce barriers to audience participation. 2. To preserve and promote the development of and excellence in the theatre and dance industries in Canada by providing training administrative support and production resources where such resources are otherwise difficult to access or not available to enable artists in particular queer disabled or otherwise marginalized practitioners to collaborate create original work and develop new audiences. And 3. To advance education by providing structured learning activities to artists such as instructional seminars and workshops led by qualified instructors in the areas of arts practice and arts administration and by providing opportunities for students to publicly exhibit present or perform their works in conjunction with these learning activities. Programming includes public performances of new work and community educational and development activities.
