Ilitaqsiniq's inu-vative programs deliver quality holistic learning opportunities relevant to today's inuit. Building on what inuit have always known to be true our programs apply traditional skills to contemporary life and empower inuit with the agency to be strong participants in an evolving society. Pride in our culture and identity is a core element of ilitaqsiniq programs ilitaqsiniq inu-vation runs as a thread through all our programs. We create safe spaces where healing and learning go hand in hand and where connections and relationships to each other our culture and the land are rejuvenated. Participants are able to learn the skills they might not yet have been given an opportunity to master on their own. With kindness and compassion our inuit program staff and elders support participants build heir sense of identity and are equipped for the next steps on their journey. * ilitaqsiniq creates and delivers inu-vative models of non-formal culture-based learning programs with embedded skills in linteracy language and essential skills development. * our 6 main program categories include: pathways for inuit empowerment; early learning & engaged caregiving; on-the-land programs; food & harvesting programs; sewing & cultural industries; work readiness employment & economic development we favour hands-on experiential learning and incorporate literacy activities adapted to each participant. Most programs can be tailored to community needs: by length number of participants and target demographic.
