Hospice West Parry Sound

Hospice west parry sound is a visiting hospice dedicated to the enhancement of quality of life for all those affected by a life limiting illness. We strive to be leaders in the development and provision of innovative and exemplary palliative and bereavement programs and services in partnership with other community stakeholders. Hospice west parry sound programs consists of: -providing non-medical volunteer support to terminally ill individuals and their families. -providing volunteer companions in individual homes or institutions -providing volunteer support for light housekeeping meal preparation and respite.. Providing emotional support to grieving families -provide palliative care training and educational opportunities -provide information on death and dying -work with other agencies re: teamwork for individual care and for sharing information and objectives.. Fundraising events -promotion of advanced care planning -posting of public awareness campaigns related to palliative care and end-of life issues.
