Hospice Care Ottawa/La Maison De Soins Palliatifs D'Ottawa

Compassion and comfort is the focus of Hospice Care Ottawa (HCO). HCO services are provided at no charge to individuals with life-limiting illnesses and their families. HCO supports individuals and their caregivers during their entire illness from the time of diagnosis through to death and bereavement. HCO offers emotional and social support to individuals facing a life-limiting illness and living at home through our Community Programs (Day Hospice and In-Home Support programs). When being at home is no longer possible HCO provides 24 hour care in a home-like and peaceful environment at our two Residential Hospices. Bereavement Care is also available to those who are coping with a loss. Hospice Care Ottawa expanded to a third site providing services for Francophones throughout our community and a new 8-suite residence for people in need of 24-hour palliative care. The new site offers a peaceful and comforting home-like environment while providing the highest-quality care to individuals with a life-limiting illness and their families. This initiative enhances our commitment to the Franco-Ontarian community and their care needs by honouring the language culture and traditions.
