High River United Church

High river united church operates as a pastoral charge/community of faith of the united church of canada by providing worship service children's worship youth and family ministries pastoral and spiritual care helping those in financial need healing ministries affirming ministries truth and reconciliation engagement programing support groups music programming and the donating of funds to the denomination's general council mission and service fund for national and overseas work as well as collecting funds for local programs. We continue to undertake pastoral visits to those unable to attend church services through our congregational care visiting team. As a congregation we have voted to become an affirming ministry - a church that is fully inclusive of others including people of all sexual orientations and gender indentities of all ages races abilities classes economic status and other diversities we are continuing to offer in-person and livestream worship services. In 2021 we began a modified meal service providing meals to the congregational community that needed support and this has continued todate. In addition we have continued our 'soup's up' program for support to those in and outside of the congregational community.
